Hand Painted Cachets for 1960's Stamp Issues

It was pointed out to me years after painting these two covers honoring the great ship that I am proud to have served on in Viet Nam... that the "Free Cancels" are "Fakes" by a man known as Karcher...
Many Collectors refuse to have any of these in their collections while others actually seek them out as a topic of collecting.  I have no strong feelings about it either way but I do like the cachet designs for "The Gray Ghost from the East Coast" as Hanoi Hanna called us.
