Champlain World Explorers and Settlers Day Dual Cancel. (Washington
D.C./Canada) I found a nice image showing Champlain in a large Indian Canoe about to make
land. The image that I found was in Black and White... so I had to take some license with deciding what colors to use. This has been a very popular design... only a couple left.
SC-001 - Samuel Champlain Dual Cancel
From the buyer of the first Champlain - #1 of 6, ..."I received your package of covers today. I am extremely happy. I have over 100 Champlain FDCs
and so far yours is the best!! The two Garbo covers are delicious. I especially like the pencil plus water color of the
director and cameraman. The Cinco de Mayo is very well done."... Barry N Kaplan.
*(Barry also has added the #1 of 10 of the second Champlain design to his collection.)
SC-002 - Dual Cancel - Ft. Ticonderoga / Canada (Available)
For the Fort Ticonderoga Cancel (U.S.) plus Canada Cancel I went with another image of Samual Champlain this
time studying his maps...
(...maybe right after landing the canoe on the first design...!)
The two designs complement
each other very nicely.
