For this last design in this set I kept the Volvo true to the Sweden Stamp Image... and went with the 1939 Lincoln Zephyr
which I'm sure there were many still on the roads when the '57 Lincolns were coming off the production line... I enjoyed
painting this set very much. As mentioned elsewere on this page I have four more Dual Cancel Sets of Blanks, however
they have the pictorial US cancel and the same designs can not be placed on them due to the lack of art space. I can
however come up with some nice designs for these... or for the many blanks that I have for the US "50s Fins & Chrome"
(Only) FDC.

For the "StudeBug" design I went with the stamp pictured Studebaker Golden Hawk, but I really like the early VW
Bugs so this one is the "older" car in this design...

This time I kept the Mustang true to the stamp image... well at least it's in the same vintage era... but for the Chrysler
I found a 1950 Limo and decided to use this for the "older" vehichle. I had thoughts of putting the "Mustang"
badge horse in the Swedish Deer Crossing Sign, but restrained myself! :0)

Here's the second in this set of five... "Caddy/Caddy". Hopefully you see a theme developing here.
I'm trying to find different "fifties" road signs from the US... and doing my best to do the same for Sweden.
Also incorporated in each is a different license plate. Again, the US is easier for me but what I've found in researching
is that during the 50s Swedish plates pretty much were the long narrow white with black Letter/Numbers... so, that's what
I'm going with. I've also kept with the concept developed on the first cover... that is one of the cars will match the
stamp while the other car will be a "50s" model but other than the one pictured on the stamp. This one
has the pictured 1959 Cadillac but also a '53 Caddy for the "other one".

Here is the first of five for the Design Two Set... Pontiac Safari and Citroen. I went
with the 1957 Safari like the one on the US Stamp. But, for the Citroen I opted to go back in time just a little and
illustrated the 1937 model which to me is a little more interesting. On each of the remaining covers I plan to use the
same design layout of course with the appropriate cars and each with different US and Swedish roadsigns and license plates...
The background is done with oil pastels and each of the five will be done in a different color.
I am currently working on the Second Design Set... Keep watch
on this page as each of the five covers are completed. Both of these first two designs are One Of a Kind... I only had two sets of Blanks with this cancellation configuration...
