Jimmy Stewart - Spirit of St. Louis - Design 1*-A

The first cover (pictured below) was painted very quickly.

I later decided to change the placement of the design elements.

For the replacement cachet I used pastel for the background & water-based oils for the plane and Jimmy. The type is metallic gold. I will paint either version upon request... this design can also be painted on the Combination with C-10 as well...

The first cover pictured above was featured in
Chris Calle's"The Art of the Cachet" Exhibit
in the 2008 Hartford, CT Show...

It was replaced with the second design
for the show in Arlington, Texas this past February!

Jimmy Stewart FDCs!

In addition to the single stamp FDCs I have some really nice

cancellation "combos" for the James Stewart Issue.

There are a lot of good design ideas floating around in my head for these...

just waiting for someone to place an order and get my "creative juices" flowing!
