It seemed like I had just put all of the Christmas decorations and tree away when it was time to do it all again!
My wife of 43 years and I have much to be thankful for in the year 2008... I still have a good steady career going and she's
been Substitute Teaching now for seven years... and of course my fun with these Cachets continues to grow as well!
I
decided to post an actual listing of covers on my Schedule to help my faithful, patient, long suffering, Customers see where
their covers are on the list. I plan to keep it current... or at least very close to being current at all times.
I've also posted the NUMBER of covers and the expected waiting time. I continue to appreciate everyone's patience
for the extended waiting times. When I retire in a few more years this should improve a lot!
Of all the
hundreds of covers that I've sent through the mail I must report that recently one was lost in transit - looking at the
bright side, it has only happened one time, but it is still very disappointing after putting hours of work into it and after
the Customer has waited so long.
Of course, I am painting a replacement at no charge... I'm considering shipping
all packages "insured", but have not decided on this yet... one out of hundreds should mean most of them are going
to arrive safely as usual.
Looks like there will be some really nice stamps for 2009 with some really interesting subjects
for cachets. Please, let me know if you'd like to add any of them to the schedule. Due to my time restraints
these will as always be a "leap of faith" for the buyers... judging the expected results from past designs (as far
as quality and interest). With a full schedule, I have no time to do designs BEFORE SELLING them... I can paint 'em
once they are on the schedule.
I've never had anyone take me up on it, but if you are not satisfied I will
refund payment (minus shipping) upon safely receiving the returned cover in original condition.
Again, Merry Christmas
and a Happy New Year to you all!
Bob Emrick
